Transport Supervisor

Daley Recruitment are looking for a Transport Supervisor for a fine foods distributor based in Bristol. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for the overall distribution operations.

Salary of £32,260.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0500-1400 with additional hours and some Saturdays required

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery – Ensure products are delivered in good condition, monitor trucks temperatures, ensure correct invoicing and manage product return.
Route planning – Ensure routes planned are within weight limit and time constraints, optimize routes and identify and implement improvement in the delivery team
Fleet Management – Manage current fleet to ensure safe, secure and legal as well as 3rd party management
Team Management Engagement – Maintain communication between Transport and Warehouse teams and wider business ensuring any issue are resolved in a timely manner.

Role Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience within the Transport industry
Experience using route planning software
Excellent knowledge of Transport Legislation
Hold a full valid UK licence, HGV Beneficial
Supporting Drivers or Routes where operationally required

This role could suit an experienced HGV Driver looking to progress into transport management.
